Buying & Selling Insights / Purchasing A New Vehicle written by @FuzzyDice 2007 Mustang GT Convertible (Ford Mustang 2007)

Well guys....I did it. I went to the dealership this morning and the sales manager presented me with a bottom line of financing 18,000.00 for 60 months, I was looking for 16,000.00 for 48 months. I prepared myself mentally for the fact that my dream of owning a Mustang convertible was about to go up in exhaust smoke. So I threw everything I had at them, my comfort zone, my X-Plan partnership, etc. I got them down to 16,546.00 for 48 months at 5.89%. I thought about playing hardball to get them down to my 16,000.00 figure but I didn't want to quibble over 546.00.

So I pulled out the check I had already written and handed over a 2000.00 deposit. I could have picked up the car today but I stopped over my friend's place on the way home for a couple of celebratory scotches....lol.

They had parked the car next to mine with the top down (yes a good tactic by them...lol). While I was standing in the dealership waiting for answers every single person that came into the lot either to browse or for service saw the GT and took a walk around....I mean EVERY SINGLE PERSON. It's the hottest car on their lot in my opinion...and Monday at 5:00 pm it will be described as the hottest car that WAS on their lot.

As soon as I officially pick up my GT I will post a formal introduction in the introductions area...I probably should have done that already. But I was not yet a member of the club.

I want to thank everyone that posted to me with input, advice, etc. I really appreciate it. You all had a lot to do with this.
