In case anybody else was considering a Nudge Bar and/or Chrome Mirror Covers, I stumbled across a couple photos I took of my Outlook last fall for reference. (Photos from an Evo 4G LTE)
I finally (well, it is only a few months old) debadged my '22. Sides only, just like I did with my '19. The rear emblems don't bother me much. My 10 year old daughter joined me, asked her what she thought. She thinks there are too many back emblems in a small area, looks too busy. :) It hit 99F, the letters come off pretty easily!
OK, I couldn't take the clip-on racks any longer. I've permanently installed Yakima pads on my last several vehicles so it was only a matter of time before I put them on the Prius. I started with the clip-on racks, but I'm just never happy with those. Call me crazy - most folks love 'em! But then most folks don't try using the Landing Pad solution, so who ya going to believe? So let's g...
Found chrome trim pieces that go under the doors on EBay. Couldn't afford SEL so I'm trying to make my SE look like one. Kinda I was really impressed with the quality of these and their made out of stainless steel not plastic. I think they look great and are held on by 3M tape
The last five or so cars I have had I have put one of the EZ Splitters on the cars and I have to tell you I really like the looks it gives you. Nice thing about is that you don't have to worry about scuffing an expensive splitter up on a curb. Will add some photos when I get a chance.
Here we are, on the eve of WEKFEST, with the completion and installation of the carbon aero and the new style LC. Yesterday, the background music was METALLICA, but today, let's amp it up with X's BLUE BLOOD. It's a high-speed rock number from 1989, purely Japanese. *Note: It's X, not X JAPAN. So, the FRP aero from JOBDESIGN and the one-off carbon lip from MOONTECH are f...
So. . .. I saw a Buick Enclave the other day and low and behold, it had a lower Chrome Body Side Molding just like I installed on our 2015 Chevrolet Equinox LTZ. I knew I liked the Chrome Body Side molding. Now I like it even more. Dresses it up quite nicely! Well. . . it's not really Buick Enclave Chrome Molding . .. ;D But it instills a very similar look! :thumb:
I will be dipping the rear badges in Hyper Dip Shadow Black. I didn’t feel like dipping the chrome grille trim so I bought this. Ok install is complete! Fitment is pretty darn good. Just the center of the bottom where the two pieces meet are a little off and at the corner near the lights on the passenger side, but I am okay with that. It is a glossy black ABS plastic and it has the same...
I really Iike how the sides turned out but not sure on the trunk as it just doesn't seem to look quite right. Open to opinions and suggestions. Went with 7 inch length. Maybe I need a smaller one on trunk. V emblem is 5 inch.
Installed according to the positioning in the instructions.
On a past vehicle I owned the mirror turn signals extended past the mirror frame just a tiny bit. This provided a way to confirm the turn signal was indeed on while checking for lane traffic. I considered it a great safety enhancement. I've wanted this on my Hybrid so I experimented and came up with the following. I opened up the mirror frames and installed small LED's I purchased from...
Thanks again to my Bro from SPEEDSHIELDS for wrapping the Carbon Fiber Spoiler with Gloss White PPF
A beautiful weekend... while doing some work in my shop, I took some time to do the front emblem same as I did on my '19. Def prefer the black over the red. Before: After:
Took care of the GMC emblems on the front and rear today. Still waiting on the vinyl for the pillar posts to arrive. Before… After… Before… After…
It wasn’t too big of a job. The hardest part was using a heat gun to stretch yge film on the corner lights. Overall I’m pleased with the look. The good thing is it isn’t permanent.
Long weekend mod, painted the gray bumper. Post #1 shows it stock. And the after shot, looks a million times better to my eyes. During. Done.
I installed crossbars to carry my paddle boards to the lake. They're inflatables but this saves me deflating at the lake and then re-inflating them at home for cleaning and drying. I've only driven up to 55mph with them so far. Additional wind noise is only noticeable with the sun shade open. With the shade closed any additional noise is imperceptible. No load on the bars for the noise check...
