Before diving into the main WEKFEST event, I’d like to introduce the refinements made to various sections of my car.
Front Section
I converted the front under spoiler from Job Design to carbon fiber. This type perfectly fits the recessed parts of the bumper without changing the minimum ground clearance. Initially available only in FRP, MOONTECH recreated it in carbon fiber instead of wrapping it.
To further refine the look, I added a custom-shaped carbon spoiler to the under part. I submitted a Photoshop mockup for the design, and with some ideas from Hikaru-san, we achieved the final shape.
This resulted in a unique and impressive front appearance unmatched by any other.
Side Section
Similarly, the side under spoiler from Job Design, initially available only in FRP, was recreated in carbon fiber by MOONTECH.
Like the front under spoiler, it maintains the original ground clearance thanks to its special structure.
Considering the risk of it detaching at high speeds, it was mounted using a special technique for extra security. Inspired by the carbon side steps of Pit-In Negishi’s 488 Spider, this aero choice achieved the perfect balance without protruding too much.
Rear Section
For the rear section, I used the rear diffuser and rear under spoiler from NOVEL, which handles the exhaust from the headers to the end. Since NOVEL originally offered these parts in carbon fiber, I chose them directly.
My goal for the aero parts is not to overshadow the elegant body lines of the LC but to enhance them subtly while still providing aerodynamic benefits. NOVEL’s design perfectly met this need.
Combining products from different manufacturers for the front, side, and rear sections ensures that the car’s overall shape is not drastically altered. This setup maintains a narrow body, achieving a well-balanced and aesthetically pleasing line.
I am immensely pleased with this setup, believing there’s no better line that could be achieved. The aero parts are securely mounted to blend seamlessly with the original body, enhancing the overall cohesion.
Adding aero parts, which people might have thought I’d never do, showcases the craftsmanship and form encapsulated in the car’s stance.
