Hi
I recently was forced to use my factory car jack on my 2017 Optima EX and its a joke. It fits the pinch rail OK but the way your forced to crank the jack up is ridiculous. There's no bolt on the end of the jack screw rod its just a hook. Then the hook rod has to be turned at 1/4 turns for 20 mins using a slot on the nut wrench. Both up & down. Lots of fun laying on the ground on the side of the road. I bought a new scissor jack from Harbor Freight that has a bolt on the end not a hook hole.
The other thing you should be aware of the tire nut wrench is a joke too. Its so short. If you have had your tires replaced at a tire shop they have slammed those nuts back on with an impact at around 90 ft lbs. You will never ever get them off with that wrench unless you stand on it which will be difficult given how short it is.
So I bought a new scissor jack at Harbor Freight that has a bolt on the end no hook and now I bring that in the trunk and a 1/2 breaker bar with a 4 foot long piece of EMT pipe that I slip on the end of the bar to greatly increase its torque to take off the lug nuts. And a 3/8 inch socket set with long extension for the new scissor jack.
Please review what I'm talking about and how difficult it will be to use the oem jack system if you get stuck on a dark road in the middle of the night your screwed.
Pictures are of the stock jack with the hook end.
