2017 Kia Optima 2.4 36,000 miles.

I was curious to see how the plugs looked on my car.

Very easy to take out 10mm on the COP bolt and 16 MM or 5/8 Sparkplug socket. Looked pretty good not quite as sooty as I was expecting. I cleaned them with a toothbrush and carb cleaner and the tiny IR pads looked good after a cleaning. And showing signs of heat like all iridium plugs do.

The stock 2.4 plug part number is: NGK IR SILZKR7E There's an additional number 11 on the bottom of the part number but not sure if thats just a run number. Notice how faint the letters look and compare to any plug you buy except the dealer. Odds are pretty good if you buy these online there counterfeit. You usually can tell they can't seem to match the letters perfectly. Color or boldness of the lettering is usually not right on the fakes.
