Hi

Just finished a very long trip up north about 3800 miles round trip over 10 days. Changed my 2.4 oil at 32,000 miles and set off. The car ran great not one misstep the whole journey.

Discovered the greatest iphone trip app WAZE saved our ass many times. Even alerts to cops hiding down the road.

I checked the catch can before leaving it had 3500 miles on that oil change. About 4 tablespoons of oil in the cc. Its not vaporized oil its not nasty oil it's just good old engine oil being blown out the pcv. A catch can is an absolute must on the 2.4 My car has run so much better since I installed the K5 CC. Very smooth.

I run Redline 10-30 which is a pretty expensive high quality oil with a zddp pack in it. Changed the oil again after coming home and the catch can had the same amount of oil in it.

If you don't run a CC all that oil will hit your intake valve stems & plugs.

When I went to the dealer and bought an oil filter I had the service advisor check if any TSB's were open on the car. All up to date including KSDS and shows I have a lifetime warranty on the engine. With a 4 to 6 week engine backlog and they will provide a rental.
