Ok, lots happening with my build over the past two weeks! The Thursday before last I had my annual ceramicoat check up at Doctor Detailing in Woodstock, GA. It's doing quite well and holding up fantasically! The owner, Samer Sbaty, does amazing work with XPEL Fusion Plus and other products by them. If you're in the Metro Atlanta area be sure to check him out - I promise you won't be disappointed. It can be expensive, but he does very high end vehicles and high quality work. Ok, I think I've plugged him enough... 😂
Yesterday, I also had a buddy of mine at Hyundai of Kennesaw install my next 3 mods and replace my stock front grill, which was unfortunately damaged during a road trip to the Chicago area and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan last summer. Some moron ahead of me on I-94 had a half filled 5 gallon plastic container unsecured in his truck bed, and it bounced out of the bed and onto the highway in front of me at 75mph. With heavy traffic, there was no way to stop or do an emergency lane change. I hit it and it took out about a foot long piece of the grill. All things considered, I was extremely lucky that no more damage was done and no one was hurt.
He installed my SXTH Element intercooler for the DCT, the Pierce Motorsports brake line kit upgrade (stainless braided teflon lines), and the Powerflex Transmission Mount Insert (Race) in addition to the grill replacement. He's both a Hyundai and Kia certified Master Technician and does great work on the side for very reasonable prices. PM me and I'll be happy to forward his contact info if you live in Metro ATL and are interested. Next will be the SXTH downpipe and aFe Takeda 3" stainless midpipe when I receive them. Here's a few pics and video by hm doing the work:
