New California Mod laws

I understand that in Ca. they enacted a new Law starting Jan 1. that vehicles with any Non Stock Exhaust, Emissions, Engine, Mods can be issued citations that are no longer fixit tickets, but Mandatory $1000 dollar fines and a trip to the BAR (not local watering hole) to have entire vehicle inspected for compliance, and vehicles returned to stock before allowed on the road again. Law Enforcement can use loud exhaust, lift kits and flashy wheels as probable cause for further inspection.

Apparently this was enacted to cut down on the street racing and "street takeovers" etc

Has anybody been involved with this yet, maybe you can elaborate on how intense this new law is and what the ramifications are for residents, and non residents traveling in Ca.

This could mean a lot of Ca. Jeepers will be either buying Trailers to get to trails, or stock jeeps in Ca will become worth a lot more...
