Cool Tidbit on -AN fuel line fittings.

I will probably put this same info into my Tonka stroker install but I thought this might be a good piece of info for those of us doing in tank electric fuel pumps on carbed motors.

Backstory....
A little over a year ago I put a Sniper EFI on one of my 4.2's. It comes with -AN fitting for fuel lines. Of course I put "EFI rated" braided fuel lines on. But Never having used braided lines I picked up a reasonably priced kit off Amazon and did a nice clean install. Earlier this year I developed a leak on one of the fuel lines which was a quick fix. Whether it was ethanol induced I can't say, but the rubber line was degraded under the braid.. I chalked it up to a bad connection on my part.
On my new motor, with all the talk about ethanol destroying certain fuel lines I dug a little deeper and found a Ptfe lined line from Evil Energy with -AN Fittings that has a plastic tube inside the rubber, then the braided stel then the braided nylon covering.

Yo can see the difference in size in the lines. The Ptfe line is actually a Smaller O.D. with a lot less rubber than that non lined.

The Fittings are different also. The lined tubing fittings come with a ferrule inside the clamp portion of the fitting that fits around ptfe UNDER the braid to get a positive crimp on the connection. The non lined fitting relies on a sharp ridge to capture the non lined line uin the collar.
