Been wanting to swap out my high stop light(3rd brake light) bulbs in my 2012 Silverado for some L.E.D. bulbs. Did lots of research and settled on a pair from SuperbrightLEDS.com.
It may be possible to get cheaper LEDs from elsewhere, but their reputation and customer service was very good. I called and talked with technical support and all my questions were answered. I had an idea how lumens were measured, but had some questions about colored LED brightness. *Note: LED color should match your lens color. I selected and ordered a pair of WLED-R19T:RED. Price was $19.95/each & shipping was $6.95(my choice of shipping) for a total of $46.55. Delivery took about 4 days and tracking was provided. Asked for and received stickers and catalog.
Installation was simple. 2 screws hold the 3rd brake light in. Although research showed a T-25, my truck required a T-15 to remove the bolts. I did have to remove the outer cab light bulbs to access the brake lights due to the factory wiring being so tight. The sockets are clearly marked with lock and direction to turn them.

LEDs are polarity sensitive, so I had a 50/50 chance of installing them correct on the first try. I was 1 for 2! Adjusted the one bulb and they worked great! LEDs were bright and instant on with no delay. Brightness was better than stock bulbs. Fit was a non issue. These were the brightest that I could find. The technical person I talked with stated that he had these on his personal vehicle.
After installation no issues were experienced with ECM conflicts.
First shot shows stock bulbs. Second shows LEDs being assembled in sockets. Third shows LEDs in daytime. And last shows night time. Sorry the night time shot is so crappy. I'll try and get a better shot later.
