my shelby hood pins, after driving all week, will slip to one side a little. now ive seen some picks on here of members cars with the pins off center a bit so i know i`m not the only one. you have to adjust the hood and pin height to get a pretty tight fit to keep them in place, allmost to the point where the hood( which isnt that strong) starts to give a little. i was able to correct this situation, loosen up the hood and pin a little, and keep the pin perfect in place. with the pin installed, i marked the clip pin on both sides of the post with a fine sharpie, pulled the loop apart and removed the pin. took it to my grinder, dressed my 1/2" wide fine wheel to sharp corners, and ground a tiny bit off the top of the pin in between my marks( with pin facing up, from like 10-2 o`clock ) cooling it often with water to not burn the stainless. it worked great, the clip doesnt move at all, and i dont have to push down on the hood so much to install the clips. and you cant see it when they are installed.
