A project that started as removing the lens to clean up deposits left by condensation has evolved into full on headlight blackout.

So basically you bake the headlamps to remove the front lens. Recommend 225 oven for 20 minutes then gradually use pry tool at this corner.

Front lens removed.

One headlight module taped.

Headlights were rubbed with alcohol to take off the shiny coating which left whitish plastic, then two coats adhesion promoter and two coats black high temp silicon enamel like the stuff they use on engine blocks.

Tomorrow I refinish the lenses and reassemble!

Paint is dried, painters tape removed.

Two headlamps finished and blacked out, covers resealed w/Permatex Black to ensure no leaks.

Installed shot. I'm happy with how these came out, they look good on a black car just not sure how they would look on other colors.
