Got the under spoiler (STI lip) ordered and it arrived super quick. Of course the shipping was more than the part cost so it damn well should arrive fast :)
Install was done in my poor excuse for a driveway without lifting the car. Only thing I needed to do was turn the wheels out for the side screw installs.
For the install I started by getting some rubbing alcohol and wiping down the areas the new lip would be covering. This allows a clean surface for the 3m tape to stick to.
Next, I removed some of the clips for the front wheel well flaps that the new lip would be going under. The first clip is a regular body clip that is easy enough to remove/install by popping the top and then pulling the clip out. I went further and also removed the next clip over on each side. That clip is one of the ones from hell that are ribbed inside and will likely not be able to be reinstalled once you rip that ****er out (you may choose not to, it was a convenience factor for me).
As others have mentioned, the front screws will go into the areas that show a small mark on the underside of the bumper fascia. They may be hard to spot but two of them will be just opposite the screws used to mount the stock skid plate so that should make them easier to locate. I went ahead and used a supplied screw to do the pilot holes as it is self tapping and getting my electric drill to fit under that area was too tight. After doing all the pilot holes in the front the metal backing clips should snap over them no problem.
I went ahead and removed all the 3m tape backing at once before placing the lip onto the front. Once in place you will likely need to wiggle it a bit from underneath to get the brackets lined up with the pilot holes you drilled/screwed already. The front screws are fairly straight forward and should not be an issue installing. Next up you do the side screws. I chose not to use the supplied backing plates here as they proved difficult to remain in place while trying to position the lip properly. Last will be the body clips on the left and right sides and then you are done!
Total time from start to finish for me was less than 30 minutes.
