Cargo light stays on

My cargo light will not turn off if it is switched on. Closing all doors and locking works for all the interior lights except the cargo light. Would love to do the rear hatch LED upgrade but not if I can't get this thing working like it should.

Full disclosure, when swapping in the LED bulb I did short out the fuse for this trying to put the bulb in wrong.
