DIY Aftermarket HUD install guide

I have a HUD in my other vehicle and I really miss that in the TB. So I purchased an inexpensive one off Amazon that fits nicely where the forward collision sensor/alert sits on the dash(I never use it and have it disabled). Here's a short install guide if you wanna do the same.

Remove the alert sensor plastic surround with a small plastic interior tool. There is a connection on the back for the display that easily pops off.

Purchase a couple sheets of ABS plastic off Amazon and trim a cutout that matches the border of the alert sensor.

Place 2 way tape around the edges. I also use an adhesive promoter which GREATLY improves adhesion. Make sure before you apply any tape or adhesive promoter that you thoroughly clean both the dash and ABS plastic as any finger oils will decrease adhesion.

I took a heat gun after cleaning the dash with alcohol and gently warmed the area where the tape would make contact. I did the same to the back of the new insert also.
