Got my HSD coilovers installed as well as my exhaust. BUT the hsd coilover where an adventure and a half to get working.
Let us go on this journey...
*HSD COILOVERS*
So I recently bought the HSD coilover kit for our 2012+ accent. Now first off I realize that after market parts sometimes do not fit perfectly... this in fact was the case. I soon realized that the top mount to our cars needed to be drilled out (little notch in the top), then if you look closely when you go to put the top mount on along with everything else you will see that the top has a boat load of play in it. This causes ALOT of vibrations and wears the threaded part down very quickly making it unsafe yadidadada.
So I decided to go to my machine shop (how lucky am I) and machine a couple bushings out of brass to snug everything up! (refer to pics) After a couple of hours and some swear words later the coil overs were ready to go in.
Voila the coilovers are in and my front end is sitting lowwwww. BUT if you go remotely close to where mine sits PLEASE roll your fenders. I learned this the hard way AKA my tires being ripped to pieces via sharp fenders. If you want take a heat gun and a rubber mallet or baseball bat and roll them yourself. I used the rubber mallet (don't play baseball)
*EV AXLE BACK EXHAUST*
Bolt. On. Ready.
Amazing experience, came with everything and stickers!!!!^_^^_^ Install was taking two bolts out and using WD40 on the hanger rubbers to get them off. EASY AS SH&T!
In all honesty buy this. The sound is so tasteful, not too loud but a nice rumble. I'm in love with it, best money I have spent.
So that concludes my little adventure. Any questions give me a PM or post a comment.
