So I just had to buy wheels, right? Of course! Picked up Sport Tuning T1 17x7.5 with 215/45R-17 Sumitomo HTR A/S P02 and new TPMS sensors, mounted and balanced ready to go from Tire Rack.
The spoiler is OEM Hyundai.. I was fortunate enough to come across a seller on ebay selling this in my paint code for a reasonable price. After I got over the shock of drilling holes in my trunk it was a pretty smooth install. A couple hiccups but nothing major.
The spoiler LED replaces the third brake light.. and even though it won't be very visible some time down the road I'm going to reconnect the third brake light and have it lighting up as well. Just want to get a wiring harness plug to connect to the brake light so I don't have to do any major surgery to the light. Maybe a junk yard visit to cut off the factory plug.
I learned that I think I like the non-spoiler trunk torsion bars better. The new torsion bars allow the trunk to pop open when you open the trunk, whereas the weight of the spoiler would let the trunk unlock but would not open up with the original torsion bars.
I've unwittingly hit my remote trunk release at work and have come back to a wide open trunk a couple of times. I think in that event I'd like it unlocked but closed to peering eyes..

A little surprised at just how high it is, and visible, from within the car.. looking back & rear view mirror.

One final touch.... (mostly) color matched emblem.

I messed up my emblem a little bit taking it off.. got too rough pulling it off with the heat so I bought a Genesis emblem on ebay to paint... found out today that the posts for the emblem are closer together on the Genesis than they are on the Elantra.. had to remove on the posts to stick it on. Oh well.
On to the next project!
