Rear diffuser installed... hmmm.. can't go back now!

Well... just not sure on this one..

The generic nature of the shaping of the diffuser had me at pause, but I still went ahead and put it on..

The left side, even though lined up with the reflectors, is slightly lower than the right side, so it looks lopsided. It's hard to notice unless you really look at it (in person), but I can see it...

Also it's not shaped very well for the bumper.. both sides have a distinct gap in them and I don't see a way of correcting it other than adding another screw, which would not be covered by the trim strip.

Installation note... even though I added the 3M vinyl for the reflectors, I don't think any of the body color would have been coming through... seems unnecessary.

I would use washers on the head side of the screw because it's super easy to just drive the screw right through the diffuser plastic.. the washer would give a better hold. Side note, for a super secure fitting I'd use a small bolt with a nut on the other end. Harder to install I suppose but no worry of it coming off easily.

Final note... it would look 1000% better if the reflectors were on the outside of the diffuser. it really seemed like it should be that way. it would take a minor amount of modification to do that, the only worry really being water getting behind the diffuser and touching the not-as-protected wiring if you have LED reflectors (which I do now, but not wired up yet)

the gap

It's entirely possible that I didn't install this to the best of it's ability, but now I have screw holes in my bumper so it's got to stay there!
