So there's a type of filament bulb (mainly used in Europe) that comes in many bases and which is called Osram Sylvania (Silverstar) Diadem. It's purpose is pretty simple, it has a bluish chrome coating but illuminates amber, so it's perfect for turn signals, and for vehicles that use amber lighting for drl or park lights. the key is, despite the coating, it does not loose lumens as a result.
I remember using these on my Denali, and although they looked much better than the stock amber colored bulbs, I could still see the bluish color in my reflector due to the clear headlight cover lens.

However the Escalade turn signals are hidden behind a fresnel lens, so I'm thinking this is the perfect solution to this well know effect, which is the result of the amber colored bulb reflection inside the housing.
ultimately it should yield to a clear turn signal at all times but one that flashes amber. It's also a very simple alternative to using PnP LED bulbs, as it'll take no more than a couple of minutes to swap and obviously no resistors needed.
