My car is a 2020 with 13500 hard miles. Redlined to work every morning which is about 10 minutes there and 20 minutes on the way back. I have some car audio things that may have contributed to its demise. 1 400 watt kicker amp for my subwoofer, 1,4 channel 1600 watt DS 18 amp for my door speakers.
I also think the road conditions... huge potholes where the battery fluid maybe gets sloshed around inside the battery and the temperature always in the 90s outside contributed to the battery going bad. I had not checked the water level of the battery for three years it was super low barely covering the lead plates when I opened the cells to look inside. I filled it up and am charging it now.
This is the second charging attempt first time my car would not start it was 7 volts and now this morning 10 volts. I'm buying a new battery today for sure. The battery just won't hold a charge past a few days anymore and nothing has changed. Kinda of sucks because I was thinking of selling my car lol I don't want to put a new battery in it for $200 or $300. So I got three years out of this battery almost, like two years and a 9 months old.
