Painted exhaust tips today

Saw TRD had black chrome tips, before I plunked down $90 bucks, I thought I try just painting them.

Just scuffed them with scotch bright, hit them with primer then gloss black paint,,

Going to let them dry good before reinstalling them,

Figure I got nothing to lose if they don't work out,don't really seem that visible to buy the trds?
