Radio: $150 brand new on ebay
Installation kit including adapter to retain steering wheel controls: $135
Wireless android auto adapter: $100
I'm very happy considering I'm under $400 installed.
Head unit is a Dual XDCPA11BT. Currently $210 at Walmart. Looks to be the same as the Jensen CAR1000 that Crutchfield sells at $400. I did a little research and confirmed that Dual and Jensen are both owned by the same South Korean company. Radio is made in South Korea.
Looks great in the jeep aside from the blue lighting for the buttons. I love that it has a volume knob; I know it sounds dumb but that was my #1 priority when I started looking at aftermarket radios.
Screen resolution is not HD but for the price, I'm okay with it.
Radio is a bit too loud even at lowest volume; I had to drop all of the sliders down in the eq to compensate. I have the aftermarket Kicker/Mopar upgraded speakers for what it's worth.
Took me about three hours to install, including soldering the wire connectors and cutting a small strip of the dash opening with a dremel to allow for the slightly taller double din unit (see 1st picture) .
I've only had it for a couple of days but overall, I'm extremely happy with it so far. Sound quality is maybe a bit better than stock... could be placebo effect.
Android auto is a game changer. I absolutely love it.
