I've started the 4.6 3v spark plug removal / swap process...I got my Champion 7989 Double Platinum Power spark plugs... I got my broken plug removal kit... my anit-seize and a 9/16 scocket....
I just removed the coils packs, blew out the plug wells and soaked down the plugs with some PB Blaster...I just backed off the plugs about a 1/8 of turn... some felt harder than others...
I have my fingers crossed.. I'm letting soak over night and I'm hoping everything goes well in the morning.
Mission Plug Swap is a success!!!!! I got up this morning with my fingers crossed and started... The PB Blaster did it's job! Letting them soak overnight I think really made the difference. I had a couple of them creak a little and one (the last one) that was a little harder to get out.
What a relief!!!! The old plugs didn't look to bad with 55,000 miles on it. So now I have a new broken plug removal kit for sale.:kooky:
