Clock spring covered under 180 month warranty

Yesterday I was driving my 2013 Jeep on a curvy road when suddenly the air bag light came on. When I would turn the steering wheel back another way, the airbag light would go off.

My airbag was replaced under warranty over a year ago by the way. I drove it again today and I found the same thing, when going straight the airbag light would not come on but when I turned the steering wheel, it would come on.

After doing some research, it appears the clock spring is bad and needs to be replaced. I got online today with the Jeep customer service and told them what my problem is and I asked if there is a recall or extended warranty on this part.

The person said "I do see that you have the X68 CLOCKSPRING coverage for 180 months of Unlimited Miles." This warranty extension is for 2011 to 2016 Wranglers.

I have not seen a recall for 2013 Wranglers, but it seems that they have increased the warranty for the part. I scheduled an appointment to have it replaced.
