APR 87 tune installed. Post tune thoughts

It's a love and maybe not love so much thing.

The odd part about the Atlas CS 2wd for me is difference between drive and sport on shifter and the settings accessed through the radio. I think there are 4 starting with eco thru sport and not really a huge difference from one to another in feel except for eco.

How's it feels post stage 1, 87 tune. I usually leave in eco. Just seems very hooked up and efficient at low rpm for daily errands. You barely have to touch the gas to lumber around when you just want max mpg's. I really liked that about it. However, after the tune APR states throttle feel is more linear. It is. Shifts and throttle response are way improved. However in eco and all modes the gas pedal no longer feels super efficient. You actually have to push on the pedal a little to get it to go. Not much but its noticeable to the point of not feeling like it's not in eco any longer. No big deal if I'm in other modes.

As not to ramble, I just wished they would have left eco mode alone or at least the eco throttle mapping. You don't need any sport in eco mode. Just give me max eco.

As for sport or other modes and even in eco it will scoot when you hit the gas. Exactly what I wanted and plenty of it. I got the high torque setting and not the high HP setting. They will ask you. I just wanted a little more low and mid end oomph. I could have gotten the 91 or 93 octane tune. However, putting in 87 is a no no on those tunes so I opted to go the idiot proof route. Never know what gas someone else may put in your car. The low rpm torque is not that much diff between them

Mileage in eco seems a little less and definitely not more. I'll have to average it out over a few tanks and see if it's just pedal feel thats throwing me off.

Overall, happy I got it and the added power is exactly what I expected. The throttle mapping for eco may bug some people though. Wish they hadn't messed with that.
