JKU overheating issues

Incidents & Traffic / Sudden Breakdown written by @DIRT_BOY 2015 JKU Sahara (Jeep Wrangler 2015)
03.24.2020

Well I have been documenting here the issues with my 2015 JKU Sahara overheating.

1st repair: New radiator cap

2nd repair: Replaced oil cooler and Thermostat

3rd repair: new radiator and cap

4th repair: Nothing as dealer found no issues

My check engine light came on last friday. Its a O2 sensor 2/2.

brought to Jeep today:

5th repair: Leaking head gasket, New O2 sensor and a fluid sensor

I explained to my dealer on the 3rd and forth trip, I had oil leaking onto my driveway and the Jeep would slightly overheat and fan would run way longer, higher and louder in slow moving traffic on hot days.

I complained to the Service manager at the 4th trip that it was loud and leaking oil. They said they found "nothing wrong and it was not overheating when he drove and had it for a few hours." Yet when I arrived there, the temp was at 3/4 and the fan was running very fast and loud.

I have been n contact with JeepCares and not sure they are really helping, yet sound convincing they are.

Now I have to pay another $100 deductible (MaxCare) and not rental as they are closed due to the virus issue.

FCA CS in their email said they would cover repairs as a courtesy but that was before dealer contacted me. They also have to order parts and won't arrive until tomorrow.

I have come to realize my dealer BLOWS and this might be the most unreliable vehicle I have owned. Less than 49K on the odometer and I have had several issues.

Let's see after this.
