I still have this on going saga of overheating and no one can fix yet.
Here is what has been done:
- Cylinder misfire
- Left Cylinder head
- Radiator replacement
- Oil Cooler
- 2) Thermostats
- Coolant Overflow
- 2) radiator caps
Last time the dealer said my TIPM was bad and they replaced. A few days later it overheated again.
What I mean is, if its been running a lot that day, rush hour traffic, the temp gage will ride to 3/4 and then go back to normal and the fan will run HIGH all the time, until it really cools.
Last week I really "burped" the radiator. I followed the YouTube videos here.
1. Open the thermostat and added fluid until it ran out.
2. I put my jeep on a jack and burped the air out while running that special funnel, adding some fluid.
For 6 days after that, it ran perfectly. No fan running fast, normal and stable temp on the gauge.
But now its back! So I guess there is air in the engine. Head Gasket?
The last time the lead mech at the dealership said it was that. After they called the extended warranty, they said it was the TIPM and replaced it. Think they lied?
Calling FCA case manger again for the 2nd time in 5 days to get this solved for the 6th time.
