After installing a small spacer lift, I reinstalled my shocks (Fox 2.0 IFP) and really tightened the bolts down. After several weeks (slow on the uptake) driving around wondering why it rode so rough, I realized the front suspension wasn’t compressing much if at all, and loosened the upper and lower bolts enough to allow more bushing flex.
It does compress now, but still seems firmer than it was previously (as determined by the spousometer).
The front suspension is definitely firmer than the back (using the stand on bumper and bounce methodology). I am wondering if I permanently damaged the shocks.
Are front shocks valved more firmly than rear (generally and specific to Fox 2.0 IFP).
