Got a chance to replace my Dunlop Grandteks on my LE (18 inch)with Yokohama AVID Ascent GT. Pressure is set at 35, same it was with Grandtreks.
I notice only very small difference in the noise or comfort. On rougher pavements, it still has that rumbling/boomy sound, and still can feel the expansion joints. As per Tire Rack tests/review these are supposed to be quiet and comfortable Touring tires.
But I am not seeing that. May be I got the best GrandTreks and worst Yokohama set? Compared to other car Prius with Continental TrueContact Tour, these are much more noisy, also not as comfortable.
Now, I don't how much weight value we should put into any of these Tire Rack/Consumer reports testing and ratings.

I lowered the tire pressure to 33 and drove some today. It seems there is noticeable difference. Its quieter, softer(still not to same level as Conti TrueContacts). I did not expect to see change just for 2-3 PSI.
I will keep an eye for another week before I decide.

Drove some last couple of days, and it is definitely quieter and softer than GrandTrek. But is it worth spending that much money to replace new tires? That is debatable.
Also, while wiring my front camera today, I removed wheel and wheel well liner. I was surprised to see even wheel well liner has additional sound insulation on top. I don't remember seeing that in any of my previous cars. Also there is lot of dampener applied around the strut mounts. It seems Toyota did went to great length to do lot of insulation on a non-luxury car.
Since, I was at it, I also weighed the wheels, Tire alone was 29.6 pounds, togther with wheel it is 59.4 pounds. So wheel is close to 30 pounds. That is one heavy wheel. OfCourse Air also weigh some, but at 33 PSI, it is negligible. Yokohama AVID Ascend GT is one heavy tire too weighing at 29.6 pounds vs other tires around 27 pound in this size.
General 18 inch Wheels weigh in the range of 17 pounds to 23 pounds, and this weighs 30 pounds. Not sure how much benefit it would be if we change to 20 lb wheels.

Anyways, drove about 600 miles on these tires. So far these proved to be much more comfortable. Noise of rougher surface is also considerably less. I am not hearing any thread noise some folks complained on TireRack. I guess that depends on size.
Overall I am happy with decision and I believe these tires are worth the upgrade!
