Get ready to dive into the exhilarating world of Peter Filippo's 2020 BMW M2 Competition transformation at Filippo Speed Shop (FSS) in Cotati, California. This beast was tailored for the adrenaline junkie @soco_cars_and_track, setting the stage for some serious track action.

Starting life as a formidable machine with a twin-turbo 3.0L S55B30T0 inline-six engine, the M2 pumped out a healthy 405 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. But why stop there? Peter decided to take things to a jaw-dropping level by swapping in a supercharged 6.2L Hellcat V8 beast, cranking up the power to an astounding 707 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. This engine isn’t just about raw power; it boasts solid mounts and a streamlined front accessory system dedicated solely to the water pump.

But the magic doesn’t stop under the hood. Behind this monstrous powerplant sits a Sadev sequential transmission, marking this M2 as the second vehicle to blend the ferocity of a Hellcat engine with the precision of a sequential gearbox.

Handling is paramount, and this M2 is up to the task with a MCS adjustable suspension. It stops on a dime thanks to StopTech lightweight six-piston front brakes and four-piston rear setups, all tucked neatly behind BimmerWorld forged 18x10-inch wheels.

The aesthetic is just as fierce as its performance. The car boasts sleek carbon fiber fenders, hood, roof, trunk lid, and a BimmerWorld wing, reducing weight and slicing through air with ease. Traditional glass has been swapped out for lighter, race-ready polycarbonate windows from Five Star Racecar Bodies.

Step inside, and the race-ready theme continues. A Sparco race seat hugs you at every corner, complemented by harnesses and a custom steering wheel. The Tilton pedal box offers precise control, while a custom steering column by FSS and a TC Design custom roll cage ensure that safety is never compromised.

Categories Involved in Modification:

Engine and Transmission: Upgraded to a supercharged 6.2L Hellcat V8 with a Sadev sequential transmission.

Suspension and Brakes: MCS adjustable suspension, StopTech brakes.

Wheels: BimmerWorld forged wheels.

Bodywork: Carbon fiber enhancements, polycarbonate windows.

Interior: Sparco racing gear, Tilton pedal box, custom steering and safety features.

This BMW M2 Competition is not just a car; it’s a statement on wheels, ready to dominate the track and capture the hearts of BMW enthusiasts everywhere. Let’s buckle up and enjoy the ride!
