I just installed over the weekend a Compustar Maxit kit for my car. I have the Pro T13 remote with proximity unlock to go with it. This alarm/remote start system will allow you to remote start a manual transmission car. It has the FT-DAS-II sensor which detects forward motion and will shutdown the car immediately if you forgot to leave it in neutral. The Pro T13 remote also comes with a Dronemobile device which has smartphone remote start capability and GPS tracking with Alexa and Google integration. It gives you status of your car such as battery, engine on/off, alarm, doors, trunk, hood, inside temp.
Dronemobile requires a subscription with 1 month free. Dronemobile is not required for the alarm/remote start unit. The system also has a Blade-AL cartridge to allow ignition bypass for remote start. I was able to obtain a dealer-only login to get the Blade-AL firmware for my car even though I'm not a dealer. I've also updated the CM module to the latest firmware through this login. I had to install a clutch bypass relay which is required for remote start. To do remote start you have to follow a procedure in the car to get it into "reservation mode" before you can remote start it.
I had some hiccups during testing of the system where reservation mode would not set because the doors would lock and then unlock within 2 seconds. Reservation mode would not set because of this. I found the solution in another thread on this forum. I had the CN5-red/white (-)door trigger wire connected to the dome lamp's (-)light green/yellow wire at SJB gray 26-pin plug, pin 25.
This was recommended in every alarm wiring diagram I found but it didn't work properly in my case. The proper wiring is shown below in my Compustar wiring table. Note CN5 - Pin 10. I had to change that wire to positive trigger with a jumper and connect it elsewhere as shown in table. Hope this helps those who are considering a remote start alarm system for their car.
